Tim Jester was stationed at the Friedberg Ray Barracks in the mid/late eighties. Several times we had contact to each other, because I find Tim's pictures from the barracks, but also from his travels, so interesting, that I would like to do an interview with him. But Tim is busy and hard to reach. All the information I have received so far, however, indicates to me that Tim had contacts to the US skate and HC scene of the eighties. In addition to regular visits to the new skate halls in Maintal at that time, Tim's leisure activities also included visits to hardcore and punk concerts at the Batschkapp in Frankfurt. In addition, Tim traveled throughout Germany and Europe, skating at the Berlin Wall as well. I hope that one day we might be able to view Tim's entire photographic output of his Army years on this site, and get related information and stories from him in an interview. Here are some of his spectacular skateshots from the Barracks.
